The Humminbird Helix 5 CHIRP DI GPS Gen 3 has all the same specifications and features as the CHIRP GPS sonar but it also features the amazing technology of Down Imaging. Using the additional 455/800kHz frequency as well as the 200/455kHz standard dual beam you will get a fish-eye’s view of what’s happening below your boat. These incredible images are created with high frequency sound waves emitted in ultra-thin slices. The sonar returns from these waves produce a “portrait.” As you patrol the water, you’ll watch fish, reefs, timber, brush, bridge pilings, rocks, and any other structure or with stunning detail. DI will read down to about 100m and the standard dual beam will read to 180m.
